Living the Worst Dream Ever

I am Neel from Mumbai, India. I don't know from when I am sleeping but I know this is the worst dream in which an unknown disease called ankylosing spondylitis has been diagnosed.

It was 22nd October 2021, my both legs got swollen! I got worried what's happening. I went to an orthopedic surgeon and asked to heal those hurting heels.

Alas we did xrays and a sonography alas everything was clear. It was increasing day by day. And I wasn't aware about this thing.

Later on, the doc said to do a blood test of HLA b27, and it came positive. And then I knew it's Ax SpA.

Fighting every second every moment. This disease spoiled my marriage function, my new year and my life.

Yes AS does change our life significantly, but it's not all negative. In fact, we can learn to live with it and there are ways to alleviate symptoms and adapt to a new life. Hi <inline-mention username="Neelgala03" user-id="4524504"/> , I can definitely relate to this feeling of being stuck in a nightmare after being diagnosed. It was a scary and confusing time for me as well and I am ever so sorry that you are going through this now. But I can tell you that these feelings won't last forever. The further down this journey with AS you go the more you will get used to things and start understanding your body more. Better days are coming just keep your head up and like your photo says - stay positive! I also saw that you mentioned that your legs are swollen and in pain. I had the same problem when I was first diagnosed and found that some diet changes helped me a lot.
