  1. It’s very hard on my self esteem. I think I am not doing enough for my family, friends or my church.

    1. Hello - I am sorry you are feeling like you are not doing enough for those in your life. Dealing with anky spond is challenging. It's completely understandable it impacts your self-esteem. Remember that taking care of yourself is a vital part of being there for others. Your loved ones likely understand and support you, even if it's not always easy for you to see. Remember to be kind to yourself and acknowledge the strength it takes to navigate life with a chronic illness. You are doing the best you can, and that is always enough. Should you ever need a listening ear or support we are here for you. Warmly - Rebecca (team member)

    2. So many of us can relate to that feeling.
      I call it "Mommy guilt".
Please don't be so hard on yourself and know you are not alone.
Sending tons of hugs and support your way, Doreen (Team Member)

  2. I pace myself and I plan my week, I write it down. First I work flexibly and can take regular breaks which helps me to reach the end of the day with energy. I choose in advance which day I am going out with friends, when I exercise, and when I rest.

    1. I am retired. However, I work out twice a week and teach a Bible study every Wednesday morning, enter the lyrics for the Sunday Services into the computer. And I attend a Bible study on Wednesday evening.

      1. -You appear to be progressing positively while handling this chronic illness. Well done! Engaging in exercise and hobbies can truly be effective in alleviating the pain and fatigue associated with inflammatory arthritis, benefiting both your physical and mental well-being. We send you our best wishes as you continue on in this journey. Rebecca (community moderator)

    2. I take medication, exercise, and do the best that I can.
