12 months in and Neuropathic pain driving me mental
After finding a new med that worked better then Humira for me my AS bamboo spine started to settle but for last 4 months it started a burning sensation in my left arms so they said C6 compression but then it spread to my right arm, now my whole body is numb with my ribs so numb they are sore my skin burns at the touch and even covers half my face including my lips. It’s driving nuts and they don’t want to give me anything but 4 doses gabapentin a day. Anyone else face this issue

Thanks Nicki I ended flying to Singapore where neurologist number 7 diagnosed me with small fibre neuropathy (SFN). The meds for this condition are the same I’ve been taking for nerve pain last 6 month so no pain management plan. Also they can’t tell me if if from my AS or the meds so I’ve stopped the AS tofacinix to see if that helps, but sadly it’s made no difference. So I’m learning to live with the pain
@Teaguemoore I am sorry to hear you haven't found yet something to help. Thinking of you and I hope your able to find something that can help with the pain. I know how hard it is and learning to live with pain everyday. You are not alone.

I wanted to check in and see how you are feeling. I am glad to hear you have found something that has helped your AS to settle. But i am sorry to hear you are struggling with burning sensations right now. Have you tried reaching out to your doctor. Sometimes it can be a side effect from the medication we take. I would reach out to your doctor to see what they think.I am sending you warm hugs,
